IAC Version 1/2/2005

TS100 "SETUP" MODE
Timestopper TS100 models shipped with software Version 2.0 and higher (shipped since December 2004) include a SETUP MODE most useful for testing the operation of finish line sensors and for adjusting overhead illumination levels at the finish line before racing begins.
To adjust illumination levels at the finish line, begin by depressing and holding down the RESET/LaneSelector pushbutton while sliding the POWER switch to ON.   Continue to hold down the RESET/LaneSelector pushbutton while the unit performs its normal power test routine.   At the end of the normal power test routine, the LCD display will indicate the state of the Finish Gate phototransistors, and you can then release the pushbutton.   Then block or shield illumination from the Finish phototransistors.   With illumination blocked, the display should indicate as follows for the different models:
          One Lane                       1   -   -   -
          Two Lane                       1   1   -   -
          Three Lane                     1   1   1   -
          Four Lane                       1   1   1   1
          Five Lane                       1   1   1   1           (first screen)
                                                -   -   -   1             (second screen, by again depressing the RESET/LaneSelector pushbutton)
where ‘-’ indicates a dash being displayed.
With sufficient illumination properly aligned over the finish line, and allowing illumination to reach the FINISH phototrasistors, the LCD display will indicate as follows for the different models:
          One Lane                       0   -   -   -
          Two Lane                       0   0   -   -
          Three Lane                     0   0   0   -
          Four Lane                       0   0   0   0
          Five Lane                       0   0   0   0           (first screen)
                                                -   -   -   0             (second screen, by again depressing the RESET/LaneSelector pushbutton)
Use this SETUP MODE to insure all lanes are getting sufficient light after setting up the race track and before starting the actual races.
To return to the normal racing mode, turn OFF the power and turn it back ON but do not hold down the RESET/LaneSelector pushbutton during the power up sequence.
